About

Shuto Ide enjoys thinking problems through and then building what that thinking implies. The process itself is satisfying; shipping something real that others can evaluate adds another layer of motivation.

What I care about

  • Structure over surface
  • Performance with clarity
  • OSS that enables others
  • Systems that remain understandable under scale
  • Turning thought into shareable OSS—ideas others can adopt, inspect, and extend

Tech areas

  • Rust
  • TypeScript / Node.js / NestJS
  • AWS / CloudFront / S3
  • Cloudflare
  • Image processing
  • WebAssembly
  • MySQL / MongoDB
  • Edge security

Current focus

A longer arc towards WebAssembly on the V8 runtime: easing the constraints of the usual single-threaded, event-loop–centric JavaScript model (workers exist, but the default shape still shows up in ops and ergonomics), growing the set of WASM-powered libraries that fit that world, and building services that run well there—starting from Rust-first cores rather than “one tool does everything” stacks.

Naming note

The “Albert” in Albert Einshutoin Lab is respect for Albert Einstein—not borrowing authority, but honouring the habit of thinking from structure and first principles.
